DW - Class Music Video Discussion Feedback

After listening to everyone's proposed song choice in class, we watched some interesting videos from varying directors, which made us think about our concept. This helped us to develop our idea, and we have since found several music videos we believe suit our song that we could use to base our ideas upon. One of the videos we like is Young Guns - Bones.

The video is performance based with an intercutting narrative, which is a style I would like to follow for our video of Royal Blood's 'Careless'.

The colour scheme in the video is very effective in conveying the idea of the song, and a grey, washed out look would also suit our song, so is something we could try and emulate.

The shaky camera work that follows the movement is also very effective, as it makes you feel unsafe in the way you are thrown about in the shot. Shooting in a higher frame rate would allow us to slow down shots for effect, like the shot of the sand on the snare drum, and is something we have already discussed as a group.
